I’ve spent more than 25 years building businesses, working with entrepreneurs, adapting to new technology, serving community organizations, and learning what happens when people with different experiences sit down and actually talk to one another.
That is the perspective I bring to speaking engagements and events.
I don’t believe every audience needs another polished speech filled with slogans. Most groups benefit more from a useful conversation – something grounded in experience, current challenges, practical ideas, and the realities businesses and communities are dealing with right now.
Whether I’m speaking to business owners, community leaders, students, nonprofit volunteers, chamber members, Rotary members, or a local audience, my goal is simple: share something useful, create a real connection, and leave people with ideas they can put to work.
I founded Belltech in Pinellas County in 1998 and have lived through several generations of business technology and marketing – from the early commercial internet to websites, Google, social media, smartphones, online reputation, automation, and now artificial intelligence.
That experience gives me a practical perspective on change. Businesses rarely have the luxury of waiting until everything is figured out. Owners have to make decisions while technology, customers, competitors, and markets continue moving.
A large part of my work has been helping businesses understand what matters, what is changing, and where they should focus their attention next.
Potential audiences and event partners can include:
Technology has been part of my career since the beginning, but technology by itself is rarely the point.
The real questions are what it means for the business owner, how customers are changing, what opportunities are being created, and what risks businesses need to understand.
I can speak from direct experience about websites, search engines, Google, local SEO, online reviews, digital advertising, social media, reputation management, automation, and the growing impact of AI on the way people discover businesses and information.
Those subjects can be highly technical. My preference is to make them understandable and useful to the people in the room.
Some of the most valuable lessons I have learned did not come from running a technology company.
They came from serving alongside other people.
My leadership work with business associations, chambers of commerce, Rotary, community groups, events, and nonprofit initiatives has repeatedly reinforced the importance of communication, relationships, volunteerism, governance, accountability, and giving people a reason to participate.
Organizations grow when people believe their time matters and when leadership listens.
That is a subject I can discuss from both the business and community sides of the table.
Over the years, Belltech has had the opportunity to work with businesses and organizations throughout Florida and beyond.
Our work has included relationships with brands and organizations such as:
Some relationships have lasted for many years.
That matters to me more than simply counting projects.
Speaking topics should be tailored to the organization and audience. Areas where I can bring firsthand experience include:
I would rather customize a presentation to what an audience actually needs than give the same speech everywhere I go.
Not every event needs a keynote speaker.
I enjoy panels, moderated conversations, interviews, question-and-answer sessions, podcasts, business roundtables, and informal discussions because they allow the audience to participate in the conversation.
These formats are especially useful when the subject involves technology, marketing, community development, local business, leadership, or current changes affecting businesses and organizations.
I am also comfortable speaking with media when the subject is an area where I have direct knowledge or experience.
My involvement in local organizations and music has also given me experience helping organize, promote, host, and participate in community events.
That can include introducing speakers, welcoming guests, helping move a program forward, representing an organization, participating in ceremonies, and working with sponsors, volunteers, public officials, businesses, and community partners.
Events work best when the focus remains on the people and purpose behind them.
I was raised on Florida’s Gulf Coast and have spent decades doing business and serving organizations throughout Pinellas County and the Tampa Bay area.
That local experience matters when the subject involves tourism, local business, coastal communities, chambers of commerce, municipalities, restaurants, hospitality, nonprofits, community events, or the relationships that connect our region.
I know many of these communities not simply as places on a map, but through businesses, customers, organizations, events, friendships, and years of involvement.
Powered By Belltech continues to help businesses strengthen their technology, marketing, visibility, and ability to grow.
