I’ve spent more than 25 years building businesses, working with business owners, adapting to changing technology, solving problems, and learning from both successes and mistakes.
That experience is at the heart of the consulting work I do today.
I founded Belltech in Pinellas County, Florida in 1998 and have watched the business world transform from the early days of the commercial internet to websites, Google, social media, smartphones, online reviews, digital advertising, automation, and now artificial intelligence.
But business consulting isn’t only about technology.
Some of the most important challenges a business owner faces have very little to do with a computer.
Sometimes the problem is marketing.
Sometimes it’s reputation.
Sometimes it’s operations, technology, communication, staffing, positioning, leadership, or simply figuring out what to do next.
My approach starts with understanding the business and the person behind it.
I don’t approach consulting from a textbook.
I approach it as someone who has spent decades owning businesses, serving customers, managing teams, working with organizations, building relationships, developing marketing strategies, dealing with changing markets, and solving real-world problems.
Through Powered By Belltech and my other business and community activities, I’ve had the opportunity to work alongside thousands of businesses and organizations.
Those experiences have given me a broad perspective on what works, what doesn’t, and how seemingly unrelated parts of a business often affect one another.
A website problem may really be a branding problem.
A marketing problem may actually be a reputation problem.
A technology problem can become a customer-service problem.
And sometimes the biggest opportunity isn’t another advertising campaign at all — it’s a relationship, partnership, introduction, or change in direction.
That’s why I prefer to look at the whole picture.
Sometimes business owners become so involved in running their company that it becomes difficult to step outside of it and look at the bigger picture.
That’s where an outside perspective can help.
I work with business owners to examine where they are, where they want to go, what’s standing in the way, and what resources or opportunities may already be available to them.
That can include:
There isn’t one formula that works for every business.
The strategy needs to fit the business.
Your reputation existed long before Google.
Today, however, much of that reputation can be seen by anyone with a phone.
Google Business Profiles, online reviews, social media, websites, news coverage, photographs, videos, directories, and AI-generated search results all contribute to the way people perceive a business or individual.
I’ve spent years helping businesses understand and manage that environment.
The objective isn’t to manufacture a reputation.
It’s to make sure the reputation you’ve earned in the real world is represented accurately online.
Marketing has been a major part of my professional life for decades.
Through Powered By Belltech, I’ve worked extensively with websites, SEO, Google, social media, paid advertising, reputation management, lead generation, local search, and digital strategy.
Today, that also means helping businesses understand how AI is changing the way consumers search for information and make decisions.
My consulting work can help a business owner step back from individual marketing products and look at the larger question:
Does your overall digital presence actually represent the business you have built?
That includes how customers find you, what they see when they search your name, what your reviews say, how your website performs, how your social media represents you, and whether all of those pieces support one another.
Technology should solve problems, not create new ones.
My background goes back to hands-on technology work long before today’s cloud platforms and AI systems existed.
That experience allows me to look at technology from the perspective of a business owner rather than simply from the perspective of a technician.
The question isn’t:
What’s the newest technology?
The better question is:
What technology actually helps this business operate, communicate, market, serve customers, or grow more effectively?
Over the years, Belltech has had the opportunity to work with businesses and organizations throughout Florida and beyond.
Our work has included relationships with brands and organizations such as:
Some relationships have lasted for many years.
That matters to me more than simply counting projects.
My consulting work can be useful for:
If I believe someone else is better suited to solve the problem, I’ll say so.
Sometimes good consulting means knowing when to make an introduction.
Pinellas County and the Tampa Bay area aren’t simply markets to me.
This is my community.
I’ve spent decades doing business here, working with local businesses, participating in chambers and business associations, serving community organizations, attending local events, volunteering, and building relationships throughout the area.
That gives me a perspective that can’t be duplicated by simply researching Tampa Bay online.
For businesses operating locally, understanding the people, communities, organizations, tourism economy, municipalities, and relationships that make this area unique can matter just as much as understanding marketing technology.
One lesson has remained consistent throughout my career:
Relationships matter.
Technology changes.
Marketing platforms change.
Algorithms change.
Business conditions change.
But people still prefer doing business with people they know and trust.
My involvement with business associations, chambers of commerce, Rotary, community organizations, local events, and charitable initiatives has reinforced that lesson repeatedly.
Sometimes the most valuable thing I can do for someone isn’t sell them a service.
It may be connecting them with the right person.
That philosophy is an important part of the way I approach consulting.
After more than 25 years in business, one thing I’ve learned is that nobody has all the answers.
Experience teaches you how to ask better questions.
It teaches you where problems tend to hide.
It teaches you when something doesn’t make sense.
And it gives you a network of people and resources to draw upon when the answer isn’t immediately obvious.
That’s the perspective I bring to consulting.
My goal isn’t to tell someone how smart I am.
It’s to help them make a better decision.
Powered By Belltech continues to help businesses strengthen their technology, marketing, visibility, and ability to grow.
